ICE BREAKER

The stair hall features a custom designed 34-foot Swarovski crystal chandelier. Melting into the floor, it strikes a dramatic effect against the classic nickel-joint backdrop.

“In this home, I was striving to merge form and function. I want my spaces equally lovely and livable. The family room’s custom-made lacquered wood coffee table has a large screen TV that pops out and pivots by simply pressing a button.”

HIDDEN FIGURES

“This room has layers of texture and subtlety of color. Glazed paneling, silks, velvets and furs create a tableau of neutrality. A breakfast bar, bath entrances and a motorized television are concealed behind custom woodwork and paneling.”

The media room was built for comfort and relaxation, keeping in mind a calming frequency of color. In the basement wine room, Angela created depth and lightness with carefully placed backlighting and a lacquered grasscloth ceiling.

“It’s important for the home to be a refuge for all of life’s moments, including entertainment. I often incorporate a theater, state-of-the-art gym, chef’s production kitchen, wine room, spa and resort-like pool area.”
